Our Story

Welcome to Wishing Well Woods — a tiny workshop with a big love for wood, woodland creatures, and creating things by hand.

We're a small artisan maker based in the UK, specialising in laser-cut and handcrafted wooden ornaments, shelf sitters, wall decor, planters, and wind chimes. Every single piece that leaves our workshop has been designed, cut, assembled, and finished by hand with care and attention to detail.

It all started with a passion for woodwork and a fascination with what a laser cutter could do. What began as a hobby quickly grew into something more — a desire to create beautiful, meaningful pieces that bring a touch of warmth and wonder into people's homes.

We work primarily with high-quality birch plywood, chosen for its lovely grain, strength, and sustainability. Each item is carefully cut using our laser, then sanded, assembled, and finished by hand. It's a process that takes time, but that's exactly the point — we believe handmade things carry a special kind of magic.

Why “Wishing Well Woods”?

Our name holds a double meaning that we're rather fond of. “Woods” speaks to the forests and woodland scenes that inspire so many of our designs — the foxes, hedgehogs, bears, and trees that fill our collection. But it also nods to what we actually make: things from wood. And the “Wishing Well”? That's the hope we put into every piece — a wish that it brings joy, sparks a smile, or becomes a treasured keepsake for someone special.

Handmade in the UK

Everything we sell is designed and made right here in our workshop. We're proud to be a small, independent maker and we pour our hearts into every item. When you shop with us, you're not just buying a product — you're supporting a real person doing something they love.

Thank you for visiting, and we hope you find something that makes you smile.
